About National Seafood Bisque Day
Rich and hearty without being heavy, seafood bisque is a creamy soup made with lobster, crab, shrimp, or crayfish. It is seasoned with wine or cognac and a bouquet of spices. In a traditional French bisque, the soup is thickened with a fine purée of crustacean shells.
