About International Bacon Day
International Bacon Day or Bacon Day is an unofficial observance, often celebrated on the Saturday before US Labor Day (the first Monday of September).
Although it is an unofficial holiday, it is very popular among bacon lovers, especially in the United States, where this dish is considered one of the most popular. There are two versions of how this holiday was approved. Some believe that it was created in the city of Bradford (Massachusetts) in 2000. And others claim that it happened in 2004 at the initiative of a group of graduate students at the University of California.
