About National Pecan Torte Day
-1/2 cup of all-purpose flour
-1/4 teaspoon of baking powder
-1/4 teaspoon of salt
-3 tablespoons of sugar
-3 tablespoons of butter, melted
-1 large egg
-1 cup of chopped pecans
-1/2 cup of heavy cream
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
2. Sift together the flour, baking powder and salt in a medium bowl. In another bowl, whisk together the sugar, butter and egg until smooth. Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix well until just combined. Stir in the pecans. Pour batter into the prepared baking dish.
3. Bake for 25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Let cool for 10 minutes before serving. 4. Serve warm or at room temperature.
