About National JoyGerm Day
At this time of year, cold and flu germs spread misery in most of the northern hemisphere. The idea behind JoyGerm day is that when we put out minds to it, it's just as easy to share positive ideas and happiness and that on January 8th each year, we should make a special effort to spread joy where we can.
Started by Joyce White in 1981, JoyGerm Day is a reawakening to the need to fill yourself to the brim with kindness and courtesy, self-respect, responsibility, encouragement and civility; then gently and freely sharing those traits with the "world out there"—our extended family of humanity.
