About National High Five Day
National High Five Day takes place on the third Thursday of each April and is as simple as it sounds - a holiday about giving high fives and spreading good vibes.
National High Five Day was started back in 2002, when a group of college students at the University of Virginia decided it would be a good day to offer high fives to each other without the fear of confusion or some kind of reprisal.
