National Frankenstein Friday is celebrated on the last Friday of October. It is an "unofficial" holiday that celebrates the famous fictional and horror character that was created in the 1800s.
Author Mary Shelley dreamed up Frankenstein at the age of 21, and her book was first published in 1818.
Mary Shelley wrote a book about a scientist named Victor Frankenstein who wanted to restore his younger brother's life who has drowned. He ends up creating a monster that eventually destroys everything precious to him.
