About Child Victim Day
International Day of Innocent Children Victims of Aggression was first recognized by the United Nations. It was established on August 19, 1982 and is observed every year on June 4. This day originally focuses on victims of the 1982 Lebanon War. The purpose is to acknowledge the pain of the children throughout the world who are the victims of physical, mental, and emotional abuse. The day affirms the UNs resolve and commitment to protecting the rights of children.
