About World Hearing Day
World Hearing Day is held on March 3rd each year to raise awareness on how to prevent deafness and hearing loss and promote ear and hearing care across the world.
It was previously known as International Ear Care Day, an annual advocacy event held on 3 March. Designated at the First International Conference on Prevention and Rehabilitation of Hearing Impairment in Beijing, China in 2007.
