About National Thank God It’s Monday Day
This is a day in recognition of this first day of the week. And what better day to celebrate it than the very first Monday in the year!
Besides holidays, such as Presidents' Day, being celebrated on Mondays, people everywhere start new jobs, have birthdays, celebrate promotions and begin vacations on Mondays.
Thank God It’s Monday Day was created by Dorothy Zjawin of New Jersey’s Roselle Park. The reason that she created this occasion was to give some recognition to the beginning of the week in general. She wanted people to see that Monday is a day of opportunity and that it is something to be thankful for.
