Ingredients:

-1 unbaked 9-inch pie crust

-1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, at room temperature

-1 1/2 cups granulated sugar

-3 large eggs

-1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

-1 cup all-purpose flour

-1/4 teaspoon baking powder

-1/8 teaspoon salt

-2 cups semisweet chocolate chips

-1 cup chopped pecans

Instructions:

1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees F (220 degrees C).

2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just blended. Stir in chocolate chips and pecans. Pour mixture into pie crust.

3. Bake for 10 minutes, then reduce oven temperature to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) and continue to bake for 45 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Cool on a wire rack before serving.
