About BRA Day USA
Since 2011, Breast Reconstruction Awareness Day has taken place on the third Wednesday in October.
Part of the Breast Reconstruction Awareness campaign, BRA Day was started in response to research that showed that not all women are made aware of their breast reconstruction options at the time of a breast cancer diagnosis.
Recent studies show more than 3 million women have a history of breast cancer in the United States. Every woman should know her options and have adequate information to make an educated decision about her breast cancer treatment.
