History of National Curry Week

National Curry Week was founded back in 1998 by the late journalist and curry enthusiast Peter Grove. His vision was simple yet impactful: to celebrate the booming UK curry industry, honour the cuisine, and raise vital funds for poverty-focused and hunger-relief charities.

Over the years, the celebration has grown into a major cultural fixture, sparking fun traditions like double-decker curry tour buses, giant poppadum towers, and massive charity cook-offs.
