About Garden Day
Garden Day is a chance for people to down tools, don a flower crown and spend time celebrating their gardens. Everyone is invited from balcony and indoor gardeners to flower border fanatics and lawn devotees.
Garden Day began in 2019 and is celebrated on the second Sunday in May.
Being in a garden lowers your blood pressure, improves your mood and mental wellbeing and helps boost your brain power, so Garden Day aims to celebrate the many benefits that gardens bring to our physical and mental health at the start of Mental Health Awareness Week.
